Do you do local (in-person) personal training?
Yes, we do local (in-person) personal training at the following locations in the North Shore of Massachusetts: Salem, Danvers, Peabody, Beverly, Swampscott & Marblehead. We also do personal training outside the North Shore but additional fees may be added depending on the distance. Please contact us for our rates.
What currency is your website priced in?
Is there a sales tax at checkout?
No, there is no online sales tax for personal training services. Additionally there is no sales tax for local (in-person) personal training here in Massachusetts.
Do you offer online personal training outside the United States?
Yes, we offer online personal training anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection and speak English. We use Skype & Facetime for meetings.
What forms of payment do you accept?
For online training we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover & American Express. For local training we accept payment via check.
What is your return policy?
All sales are final for both online and local (in-person) personal training. Clients have 1 year from the date of purchase to use their packages/sessions.
How can I save money?
You can save money by purchasing longer term training packages (contact us for our package deals) or by referring us to a new client. If the new client purchases a training package (or 8 single sessions) we will give you 1 free session. The more clients you refer, the more free sessions you will receive.
How long is a normal personal training session and what does it consist of?
Each personal training session is for 1 hour. All sessions are a little different and are based on the client’s needs and goals. Typically we will begin with a 5 minute warm up followed by 45 – 50 minutes of resistance exercise (cardio too if that is what the client wants) and end with 5 minutes of stretching. We will also cover the client’s progress and questions. If the client wishes to warm up and stretch on their own we can certainly dedicate the full hour to the workout. We are flexible.
What’s included in your personal training programs?
Each personal training program is different as each client is different. I custom design every program based on the needs and goals of the client. Typically each program will consist mainly of resistance and some cardio training as well as stretching. Additionally I will do an evaluation in the beginning to help measure the client’s success over time.
Do you train experienced individuals or just beginners?
I train clients of almost every skill level and background. Whether this is your first time working out or if you have been training for 20 years I can help you. The only clients I do not train are professional bodybuilders and powerlifters.
I’ve never worked out a day in my life. Will you still be able to help/teach me?
Yes! I love working with beginners and have done so countless times. I will be able to teach you everything you need to know so you can feel comfortable working out at any gym or home gym that you visit.
Can you train people with injuries?
Yes, if you have an injury or a limitation I will be able to create a program for you to work around the issue. We will cover everything in the initial consultation to make sure everything is covered. I have trained many clients with various issues and they all have all greatly improved!
Do you provide nutrition advice and meal planning?
I will definitely provide every client with good common sense tips regarding nutrition and diet. However, I am not a registered dietitian and will not go into specific meal planning, etc.
What type of results can I expect to see working with you and how many personal training sessions would it take?
Excellent results. I have been helping people of all ages and backgrounds for several years and training myself for 27 years (since I was 13 years old). I know exactly what it takes to be successful in reaching your fitness goals and will share that with every client. With regards to how many sessions it will take to see results it will depend on each client’s level of commitment, hard work and dedication. Just like anything in life the more you put in to something, the more you will get out of it. I promise to work hard to help you reach your goals!
